WHO WE ARE
“Chante” is a Costa Ricanism for “Casa”, which means place or home. You will often hear someone refer to their place of residence as their chante.
Rasta means "Rastafarian". A Rastafarian is a person who adheres to the Rastafari belief. The Rastafari belief developed in Jamaica in the 1930s after the 1930 coronation of Haile Selassie I as Emperor of Ethiopia. Those who follow the Rastafari way of life are known as Rastafari, Rastas or Rastafarians.
Giving “Los Chantes del Rasta” the meaning of “The houses that belong to the Rasta”, in honor of Juní, a Rastafarian who helped bring to life the project of making vacation houses and also built our first house.
